OUR VITUAL POWER PLANT

Our virtual power plant aggregates several types of energy assets in order to enhance their market potential based on existing mechanisms whilst minimizing the risk of penalties or imbalance.
Developed in-house and continuously improved upon by our team, our virtual power plant operates Agregio’s market positions 24/7 by optimizing, dispatching and managing energy assets.

1- ASSET CONNECTION & MODELLING
Our clients’ assets are connected to the virtual power plant via interface solutions offered by Agregio. This enables us to receive operation data and measurements from the sites in real time. We then model this data in order to improve our forecasting and optimization performance. This modelling also enables unavailable assets to be substituted for others to ensure power grid balance and help our clients avoid steep penalties.
2- ASSET OPERATION AND MARKET CONDITION FORECASTS
We have developed forecast algorithms that use different data science and artificial intelligence methods to analyse operating data relayed in real time. By working with our field expert partners whenever necessary, we can also provide forecasts on power generation and consumption, or market price in order to help us to make the best market decisions.

Once we have achieved market results and optimized our clients’ requests, our virtual power plant sends out operating instructions to different assets to execute the programme desired by our clients in keeping with purchase or sale agreements. The virtual power plant then begins remotely managing the assets. This process is often entirely automated.
